It all started...

The Ruskin Community Development Foundation (RCDF)was founded in 1994
to implement the Ruskin Community Development Plan. The Plan calls for:

  • revitalization of downtown.

  • development of eco-tourism options.

  • improved coordination of governmental and social services.

  • development of funding sources for community projects.

Copies of the Plan can be borrowed at the Ruskin Public Library on US 41.

Elements of this plan were incorportated into a process involving Ruskin citizens and Hillsborough County staff and led to its adoption as a Comprehensive Plan Amendment by the BOCC in April 2005. This document can be viewed online-">Ruskin Community Plan
